PT Miconos Introduces Digital Microscopy via the OptiLab Microscope at the 2026 UNS Histology Learning Workshop

Surakarta, August 2026 – PT Miconos has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the advancement of education, research, and development in the field of health sciences in Indonesia through its participation in the 2026 Histology Learning Workshop organized by the Histology Laboratory School of Medicine Sebelas Maret University (UNS) in collaboration with the Indonesian Anatomists Association (PAAI) of Central Java.

During this event, PT Miconos also introduced the use of digital microscopy technology through software developed for the OptiLab microscope as one of the innovations supporting the transformation of histology education in the digital age.

This workshop, themed “Transforming Teaching and Learning Histology: from Conventional to Digital,” served as a forum for faculty members, educators, lab technicians, students, and practitioners to discuss, share experiences, and broaden their understanding of developments in histology education through the use of digital technology.

This event featured several speakers who are experts in their respective fields, namely Prof. dr. Muhammod Thohar Arifin, Ph.D., Sp.BS(K)., PAK(K)., Chair of the Indonesian Anatomists Association (PAAI) for Central Java; Dr. Suyatmi, dr., M.Biomed. as a Lecturer in the Histology Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University (UNS), and dr. Indriati Dwi Rahayu, M.Kes., as a Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University (FKUB), as well as Rifco Agha Hidayat, S.T., Digital Marketing Manager at PT Miconos. The presence of these speakers enriched the workshop by offering a variety of relevant perspectives and experiences, while also strengthening collaboration among academia, professional organizations, and industry in supporting the transformation of histology education in the digital age.

One of the sessions in the workshop was presented by Rifco Agha Hidayat, S.T. as the Digital Marketing Manager at PT Miconos through the materials Digital Microscopy in Medical Education. The material discusses how advances in digital technology can make the histology learning process more interactive, efficient, and accessible through the use of the OptiLab Microscope software.
